You don’t have to have it all together.

There is room for what you’re feeling.

There is room for you here.

Life can ask a lot of us. Somewhere between our relationships, responsibilities, expectations, and everything we've learned we should be, it can become difficult to hear ourselves.

Therapy can be a place to slow down and make room for what is already there—the thoughts, feelings, questions, and experiences that may not always have somewhere else to go.

You don't need to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out. You can begin exactly where you are.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like another place to get things right.

You won't be expected to say the right thing, feel the right way, or show up as a polished version of yourself.

Therapy at Nura begins with the relationship. There can be room for the hard conversations and the quiet ones, for reflection and curiosity, and yes, sometimes for laughter too.

You bring your experiences, your questions, and your way of seeing the world. Your therapist brings presence, curiosity, compassion, and support. Together, we make space to understand what's there and discover what growth can look like for you.

What can we make room for?

The thoughts that won't quiet down.

The past that still finds its way into the present.

The pressure to keep everyone else okay.

The changes you didn't feel ready for.

The feelings you can't quite explain.

The relationships you don't know how to navigate.

The version of yourself you're still trying to understand.

The things you've never known how to say out loud.

And whatever doesn’t fit into words yet…

Who you’ll meet

Hi, I’m Mayra

How you feel with your therapist matters.

I want you to feel safe bringing whatever is happening in your life into our sessions—even the things that feel messy, uncomfortable, confusing, or difficult to say out loud. We can laugh, sit with something hard, or be curious about something you don't quite understand yet.

I'm warm and supportive, but I’ll also tell you what I'm noticing. Sometimes that means naming a pattern, questioning a belief you've carried about yourself, or inviting you to stay with something you would normally want to move away from.

I may bring knowledge, curiosity, perspective, and sometimes a little of my own humanity into the room, but I don't see myself as the person with all the answers.

You are the one doing the work. My job is to meet you in it.

Where we begin

Starting therapy can look a little different for everyone. If you'd like to talk first, a free 15-minute consultation gives us a chance to briefly connect, talk a little about what brings you here, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

If you're ready to get started, you can also schedule your first session directly. A consultation isn't required.

Planning to use insurance? After requesting your first appointment, you'll receive instructions for submitting your insurance information. Please allow at least 3 business days for benefits verification after submitting it. Your appointment will be confirmed once verification is complete.

Insurance

Nura accepts several insurance plans through Alma, including Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Carelon, Cigna, and Optum. Coverage varies by individual plan.
